The head honcho M.D. of Kalyani Technoforge ltd., his youthful appearance will defy his age and experience. He has an awe-inspiring presence and stands out from the crowd.

Having a remarkable experience of 28 years in the automotive, forging, and heat treatment industry, he has always worked in key positions with quite a few companies. He has Bachelors’ Degree in Metallurgy from the Government College of Engineering of Pune, India. Also, he holds an M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick - one of the U.K.’s leading universities.

It was the year 2011 when Ravi took over the reins of KalyaniTechnoforge Ltd (KTFL) as the COO. Back then, the revenue was Rs. 200 crores. His strong leadership has catapulted the company on a growth path, with a revenue of Rs. 1200 Crores in 2020. Ravi is now the Managing Director at KTFL and is also responsible for various manufacturing companies in the Kalyani group, such as Kalyani Transmission Technologies Pvt. Ltd & INMET (Metal injection moulding).

KTFL is a part of the US$ 3 billion conglomerate Kalyani Group that is engaged in manufacturing World Class Forged & Machined products for various Auto and Non-auto customers, especially in passenger car transmission components.

Ravi has carved a name for himself in strategizing, Business development, and organizational development. Using his profound experience over the years, he has strategized & implemented new products, projects & programs across segments and geographies. In addition, he is a pioneer in developing technologies such as 3D Printing and Metal Induction Molding, focusing on exporting such products worldwide.

In addition to this, Ravi has taken charge of developing Bharat Forge’s Center for Light Weighting Technologies and E-mobility businesses. He is also responsible for Bharat Forge’s Aluminum foray in the USA, including Plant setup, expansion, and business development.

Ravi is a Goal-oriented & competitive professional with a proven track record of taking organizations to a higher level of growth in terms of revenue & profitability, enhancing product portfolio while upgrading technology, and achieving substantial growth.

Mr. Sanjeev Jagtap

Group CFO & Company Secretary

Having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, he has a solid 33 years of industrial work experience to his credit. Before joining the industry, he started his career in the Indian Air Force. His association with the Kalyani group dates back to as early as 2008 when he joined and led as the CFO for FAW Bharat Forge (Changchun, China) Co. Ltd. He was instrumental in converting the losses into profits, making this Joint Venture a growing company. He then undertook the reins of Kalyani Steels limited and Saarloha, where he worked for 7+ years before being elevated to the responsibility of the Group CFO and Company Secretary at Kalyani Technoforge ltd., where he has been with us for the past 4 years.

He is also a member of two professional bodies – the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and holds a Commerce Degree from the University of Delhi.

Holding a position of strategic importance, his list of responsibilities is truly comprehensive. With his forward-thinking & astute worldview, he efficiently handles all project financing needs. He is responsible for accumulating & managing the working capital for all KTFL group companies. Overseeing mergers & acquisitions, he is one of the key decision-makers over strategic investments. As a company secretary, he is the primary source of advice on business conduct spanning everything from legal advice on conflicts of interest to accounting advice on financial reports and corporate planning.

In the past, he has also been a faculty in teaching Finance to Management students and has written articles on indirect taxation which have been published in leading journals.

As if these heavy roles & responsibilities were not enough, Sanjeev invests even his spare time reading about the economies of various countries and continents along with their history. He has very artfully combined his hobby with his career!

Don’t mistake him for an introvert, though, as he leads an active social life. He has served the prestigious “Rotary Club” of India and has been a part of many other social projects. He is also an avid traveller and loves to explore new cultures and societies.

Ask him what motivates him to have come this far, and he would say, “everyone’s life is challenging, but one should never give up. Instead, we should be ready to take on challenging situations and strive for success.”

He admires our MD, Mr. Ravi Nagarkar, and applauds his leadership to be one in which the company has been expanding leaps and bounds beyond boundaries and business segments. Mr. Deepak Kalshetti

President, Auto-Division

He is responsible for business development, operations & profitability of Business Unit II, forging & machining plants.

Living up to his name, Deepak has truly been the "guiding light" at Kalyani Technoforge Ltd. Deepak, an upright personality, has a systematic style of working & holds a very professional approach towards every work he undertakes. He is the kind of leader who leads the team from behind and has excelled in the art of getting the work done efficiently in the stipulated time.

Having worked with some of the most prominent names in the automotive & engineering industry, he has a profound 27+ years of experience to his credit.

Ask him what has motivated him throughout his life, and the answer might lie in his lifestyle. A fitness enthusiast, he loves doing yoga to calm his mind and enjoys cycling to pump up his heart.

Henry Ford - the American industrialist, business magnate, and founder of the Ford Motor Company- once said, "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is a success." Deepak has kept this quote close to his heart and strives to live by it.

Deepak has always been inspired by creativity and encouraged innovation in problem-solving when it comes to improving a process or building a new one.

Mr. Rajesh Patil

President, Business head for Transmission division Unit- I

Beyond the first impression of his guileless smile & innocent demeanour, Rajesh Patil handles the responsible task of Business Operations of KTFL’s Business Unit 1, which includes forging, HT & fully finish Transmission Gears/Shafts. He ensures profit for business unit 1.

For 20+ years, Rajesh has had one of the longest associations with the Kalyani Group. Even before joining the Kalyani group, he had an experience of 6+ years in design & engineering.

After working for such a long time in the industry, he has adopted brisk walking & yoga to keep himself hale & hearty.

Akin to his mild & meek personality, Rajesh believes that “Profitability is not just a number. Delivering customers – more than their expectations is real profitability to us in KTFL.” This thought makes Rajesh connect easily with his clients and maintain them..

Having worked for several years in this industry, he has mastered the ropes of the trade. However, he believes that the engine that drives the mechanics of an industry is its people, their motivation & direction..

Mr. Vinod Garud

Business Unit Head

An amiable personality with a wide contagious smile, Vinod has been working with Kalyani Technoforge ltd. since 2014. Before joining the Kalyani group, he worked with various names in the engineering industry, particularly catering to the niches of transmission for PV, agriculture & off-highway for more than 16 years. As a business unit head at Kalyani, he works on developing business for new verticals, sub-assemblies & assemblies..

Hailing from Mumbai's metropolis, he graduated from the well-known L&T Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering (Industry Integrated) and completed his schooling at the S.V. Joshi School in Dombiwali.

He has an easy-going personality—and the only racket you can ever find him in will be his badminton one, which he plays during his free time or on a sunny Sunday! He also lazes around listening to music, hearing podcasts, and reading books. He is currently turning pages of the book by Kishor Mahbubani titled "Has China Won?" which talks about the geopolitical contest between two world superpowers - China and the US.

Vinod believes in changing with time and reckons speed to be the key to success. He trusts that the Business Model of Innovation is essential for a fast-changing world. He has predicted that "Transmission Technology in automotive is fast changing towards clean energy & it will be only one transmission by 2030 – "Single Speed Transmission".

Working with new product development is what drives Vinod. He thinks It is challenging and creative at the same time, thus providing future value to the stakeholders.

With such a dynamic thought process, we think Mr. Garud has the potential to soar high and take Kalyani to new heights!

Mr. Anant Pethkar

Vice-President, Purchase

The favourite of the vendors and company both, Purchase heads have a vital role in the success of the companies they work for. Certainly, when it comes to representing the company in the procurement market, Anant is the smiling and cheerful face of the Kalyani Group.

Mr. Anant Pethkar is the Group Purchasing Head & Business Unit Head who forms the driving force behind all sourcing activities of the KTFL group companies. He is responsible for the entire supply chain, right from the procurement of Raw Material, Capex, Opex, Out Sourcing, and Stores to EXIM & Logistics.

He spends most of his time forecasting anticipated demand for products, materials, and services. The rest is spent on negotiating with vendors and suppliers to see whether the company is getting the most value for their organization. He is also responsible for nurturing relationships with suppliers, forecasting price trends, and training and managing teams, among other things.

Anant has been associated with the Kalyani group for 6 years. Prior to that, he had an experience 18+ years of in a similar industry.

Mr. Pethkar's "parkhi nazar" & his tremendous experience gives him the expertise to find the "Right" product at the "Right" pricing. He would make a great companion when shopping as he knows a thing or two about snagging the best bargain!

Mr. Makarand Kotalwar

Chief Human Resource Officer

With 24+ years of rich experience in Human Resource Management in various industries, Mr. Kotalwar is a true maverick of the Kalyani Group. He is an expert in spearheading human resources, employee relations, safety & corporate social responsibility. He has been working diligently towards establishing & developing HR strategies, and processes, contributing towards the development & implementation of culture with a focus on organizational progress & development. Mr. Kotalwar is a compassionate leader who always believes in growing with his team. Mr. Kotalwar absolutely swears by the quote, “One day you will wake up & there won’t be any more time to do the thing you’ve always wanted. Do it now” by Paulo Coelho. He sees work as an opportunity to pour all his expertise & knowledge into working towards growing the organization further.

Mr. Kunal Thole

Head of International Business

A master-man manager, Mr. Thole is currently the head of International business marketing. Leading a team of 9 professionals is no walk in the park, but he does it so effortlessly. Mr. Thole has been with KTFL for almost a decade & half, which in itself is quite a remarkable achievement. Being a marketing man at heart, he believes." "Loyalty is Royalty" & lives by the quote ", Do what you say & say what you can do." He is a hardcore patriot & his motivation was to give back to his country through his work. He believes in doing so by opening up a large ocean of export opportunities in the company while giving the customers a taste of excellence one deal at a time. An avid sports fan, he enjoys a game of cricket every now and then in his free time. Mr. Thole is a massive asset to KTFL & we are proud to have him on board.
